This lake was created due to a landslide, decennia ago. Parts of a mountain slid down into the valley and formed a natural dam. The local spring was blocked and the rising water made a beautiful lake. In Europe there are only two lakes formed like this.

The lake is a popular recreational spot.

Locals like to stroll along the shores, take a swim or just relax at the camp side pub, having a drink or enjoying a nice local meal.

You can stay at the camp side with tent, caravan or camper or even rent a cabin or a cottage.

At the camp side there is also the nice and well-kept swimming area of the lake.

The quality of the swimming water is checked by a national organisation, ANTSZ.

Fishermen also like to come to the lake. After buying a daily permit, you may try your luck catching one of the many and well sized Carp, perch, pike and even large Catfish.
